All your questions answered | Lohis at Hudhuranfushi

 

During a recent trip to the Maldives we had the opportunity to catch up with one of the pioneers of surfing in the Maldives, Richard Kotch. Richard is the head of surf operations at Hudhuranfushi Surf Resort in the Maldives, home to the world class left hander of Lohis.

He has been working closely with the management team at the resort as well as the Maldivian government to come up with a solution to managing the intense crowd factor in the Maldives. Hudhuranfushi is now one of only a few resorts in the Maldives to have an exclusive wave out the front where they cap surfer numbers in order to moderate the crowds. Lohis now run an incredible surf operation (the best in the Maldives in our opinion) which is thanks to the hard work from the team at the resort.
